These test results below are for the GWS fans and show the performance we can obtain from a carefully set up unit, we have many flights on these setups and the motors run cool and strong.

HYPERION MOTORS: High quality motors that were the best bang for the buck in the GWS fans providing very good power to weight ratios. Still great for 3 cell setups, best thrust to amps ratio.

GWS EDF55 FAN

HYPERION Y22S motor:

10.57v / 16A / 170 watts / 31,000rpm / 360 grams thrust

GWS EDF55 FAN

ERC2445-3850 motor:

11.2v / 21A / 235 watts / 39,000rpm / 560 grams thrust

GWS EDF64 FAN

HYPERION Y22S motor:

11.1v / 17.1A / 190 watts / 31,300rpm / 450 grams thrust

HYPERION P1913 outrunner:

10.5 volts / 20.6 amps / 216 watts / 33,580rpm / 520 grams thrust

13.58 volts / 28.4 amps / 386 watts / 40,670 rpm / 730 grams thrust

GWS EDF64 FAN

GWS2040-3900 motor:

14.0v / 16.5A / 231 watts / 36,290rpm / 600 grams thrust!

GWS 2040 MOTORS: These test results are of the 20mm diameter ERC2040 series motor and show incredible performance, on our 4 cell 1300 packs these fans put out over 600 grams thrust! (ERC2445 has now taken top honors for GWS fans)

GWS EDF64 FAN

ERC2445-3850 motor:

11.4 volts / 23.9 amps / 273 watts / 38,250rpm / 660 grams thrust

15.0 volts / 35 amps / 525 watts / 49,500rpm / 1100 grams thrust!

EXTREME RC 2445 MOTORS: These test results are of the new 24mm diameter ERC2445 series motor and show the sort of performance that can be obtained with the EDF64 fan. Heatsink is recommended on 4 cells especially in hot weather.

GWS EDF64 FAN

SAPAC Black Tornado 2830-4000 outrunner:

11.14 volts / 26.5 amps / 296 watts / 39,300rpm / 700 grams thrust

14.43 volts / 41.3 amps / 595 watts / 48,950rpm / 1.080kg thrust

BLACK TORNADO is a new outrunner motor from SAPAC, designed to run 3 or 4 cells straight out of the box it is a well made motor but is less efficient than our equivalent 2445 inrunner.
