FLYFLY MIRAGE 2000 90mm DUCTED FAN JET!

A classic Delta Jet, the FLYFLY MIRAGE has been used by air forces the world over. This is a huge version of the Mirage, a 1 metre wingspan and 1350mm length make for a very impressive silhouette in the sky! Comes with scale suspension undercarriage with dual front wheels. Wheels have chrome plated hubs and look the part!
The stock 90mm fan is of good quality and runs well once it is properly balanced and set up, producing around 1.7kg thrust on 5 cells. Our EXP3300mah 5s1p 20c battery is minimum requirement, for much more power our ELITE 4000 5s1p 25c is recommended. We will only be offering our Taiwan made 36mm motor for the stock fan as the available Chinese motors will not handle the high amp draw of the stock 7 blade units. Average amp draw is 52-55 on 5 cell packs, the cheaper Chinese motors pull 60 amps or more for less thrust. The factory fan is less efficient and more amp hungry compared to a Wemotec fan, but it is a good budget setup.
FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE with less amp draw our WEMOTEC MIDIFAN ROTOR/ADPATER kit is a perfect fit to the stock housing. This gives you the less aggressive and far better designed Midifan which pulls fewer amps and allows popular 5 cell Midi setups such as our HET 600 series. For 6 cell setups the Midifan rotor matches perfectly with our Taiwan made HYK3660-1600 motor. Test results prove these to be an exceptional power system, the figures below tell the story: MIDIFAN UPGRADE TEST RESULTS: TYPHOON 600 series 5 cell: 18.5v / 59A / 1100W / 30,800rpm The Typhoon setup is the best 5 cell setup we have available, producing almost identical output levels to the HYK only at higher amp draw. This is the choice setup for 5 cell. HYK3660 1600Kv 6 cell: 22.3v / 50A / 1115W / 31,760rpm (results from inside the fuselage) The HYK setup is the best 6 cell setup we have for a combination of amp draw vs power output, in the Mirage it is good for around 100mph! (dependant on battery used) Forget about expensive turbine jets which require permits and engineering certificates to own, forget about noisy glow powered fans, this is the way of the future! DASSAULT MIRAGE FLYFLY MIRAGE is made from hi impact EPS foam, scale undercarriage, and 90mm fan included. Wing is a two piece construction with central bracing and is removable for transport. Optional retract kit is spring/air operated. Retract fitting needs some additional work to cut placements for the mechanism but is a fairly simple job for anyone with reasonable modeling experience. Hand launch is quite possible with the Mirage, our video below shows how! Flight performance of our Mirage setup with HYK3660 motor and ELITE 4000 6s1p 25c battery pack running the Wemotec fan upgrade kit is impressive. As you can see in the video, our Mirage package is a superb flier and is one of the fastest FlyFly Mirage setups we have seen so far. Our Mirage has been clocked at 105mph level flight and 130mph downwind!!
