Wow what a great looking model! The F18 HORNET is an extremely popular aircraft and this one is just superb, big enough to satisfy most, and economical enough to set up and power using one of our many 90mm fan combos. The JOLLY ROGERS colour scheme is a classic and would have to be one of the best looking F18 schemes around. This is the V2 kit with carbon spars, ailerons, elevators, rudders & nosewheel steering.
The F18c comes with factory 90mm fan unit and mechanical retractable undercarriage as a standard fitment with strut legs for a scale look. The retracts are included as a no cost option, they are really only suitable for sealed runways, if you want to use the F18 with retracts on grass you will need a higher quality retract set and the mounting points need to be strengthened with plywood. The included retracts should be operated with metal gear servos, we recommend the BMS380 as they are the most affordable quality MG servo we offer.

The factory fan is a copy of a wemotec which means you can replace the rotor with a genuine wemotec product and have a factory balanced high power fan unit at minimal cost. When ordering just add the wemotec Midifan PRO rotor and spinner, and matching 5mm shaft adapter.>/p>
MIDIFAN TEST RESULTS
HET 600-30-2 Typhoon 5 cell: 1100-1200W for 2.1kg thrust This is the best 5 cell setup we have available, producing excellent output close to the 6 cell setup.
HET 600-37-2 Typhoon 6 cell: 1200-1400W for 2.35-2.5kg thrust. This is our standard 6 cell setup with a good combination of amp draw vs power output.
HET 600-30-3 Typhoon 8 cell: 1500W for 2.5kg thrust! This is a great setup for those with plenty of 4 cell packs, you can use a pair of 3200mah packs in series with this fan.
HET9305 FAN TEST RESULTS
ARC 3655-1.5Y 6 cell: 1470W for 2.5kg thrust! Great 6 cell setup with a lightweight short can motor that is matched perfectly to the HET fan.
ARC 3675-1Y 6 cell: 1380W for 2.5kg thrust! The most thrust for the least amps from this beast of a motor, start off on 6s then move on to 8s down the track!
ARC 3675-1Y 8 cell: 2460W for 3.5kg thrust!! The 3675 is a seriously powerful motor, this setup would have to be one of the best for power to weight available!
