TAFT Hobby's big VIPERJET is here! These are an awesome kit, the finish is excellent, its one of the best 90mm foamies to come out for a long time.
The reason we are listing the Viper without fan is the performance of the factory unit is not really in keeping with this caliber of model. Its a bit slow and underpowered with the 6s setup and just ok with the 8s one. For those who want the stock factory setups we have listed the factory 6s & 8s fan combos in separate listings in this section of the website.

The Viper is a very strong EPO airframe with spars molded into the wings and empennage. Wings bolt on and the fit and finish is superb. Retracts and electronics are all prefitted, the Viper comes with working gear doors and a sequencer too!
Flick your retract switch, the main and nose doors open, retracts extend, then the main doors close again! Flick the switch to raise the wheels and the main doors re-open, wheels go up, all doors close. Its pretty trick and I can tell you from the demo model we have been flying it works! The only negative is the wheel axles etc should be removed and locktited in before you fly, better to spend a little time securing all screws rather than lose a wheel.
We are supplying the Viper with the factory servos as so far they have proven to be reliable in our 8s test model even at 200kmh. All servos are digital metal gear and for the price they are worth having prefitted ready to connect and trim.
So all you need for this bad boy is fan combo! Recommended are our JETFAN 90 fan units running either hot 6s or medium to hot 8s. The first video below is running our Jetfan90 with HET 700-68-1680 motor and Platinum PRO 120A esc. This fan is hot, pulls around 110 amps at full throttle and puts out over 4kg thrust, the Viper weighs in at approx. 3.7kg with a pair of our ELITE 5000 4s packs and the vertical climb from a level pass is impressive!

NOTE:Static thrust from the factory Jetfan housing is not a good indication of the fans performance, it is designed for dynamic performance as well so actual in air performance is very impressive as can be seen by our video.
