There are many servos on the market these days,
the flood of cheap servos has caused much confusion as to what one should fit
in their plane. There are two types of servo out there to avoid, cheap, and
re-branded cheap!! Fact is cheap servos are just that, cheap, noisy gear trains,
weak main gears made from softer grade nylons that slip when under load, or
brittle plastics which crack or chip teeth causing your servo to shut down
mid flight, not something any of us look forward to! Even more dangerous is
the servo which goes noisy, causing massive RF glitches, I have had a plane
go completely crazy just from touching the aerial, all due to a cheap servo! Re-branded servos are worse, because they cost you a premium and
still give trouble or fail when you don’t want them to, plus the torque
ratings on many of these cheap servos are wildly optimistic, 1.2kg/cm?? I
have seen many cheap servos struggle at 0.6kg/cm before stalling out!! BATAN: Batan are a high
quality servo at a great price! Strong cases with excellent fit and finish,
tough mounting lugs, and good resolution. Our B1122 features ball bearing
main shaft. Horns are thick with plenty of width so you can drill them out to
use 2mm fittings, unlike most horns on micro servos. These are my new
favourite all round servo and the prices are very affordable. GWS: servos are extremely well made, they live up to their

GWS PICO

The PICO is the standard model in the Pico range. It is 5.4 grams in
weight, features Teflon bushing, and is quite a strong little servo. Its
torque rating is higher than the comparable generic Chinese servos which are
typically capable of only 0.4-0.6kg/cm and prone to gear failure. Can be run
